Privacy Policy for LINE BREAKER

This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you play LINE BREAKER and informs you of your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

We use your personal data only to operate and improve the game experience. By using LINE BREAKER, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Interpretation and Definitions

1.1 Interpretation

Words with capitalized initials have meanings defined under the conditions below. These definitions apply equally whether in singular or plural.

1.2 Definitions

• Application refers to LINE BREAKER, the software program provided by the Company.
• Company (referred to as “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our”) refers to Giaste FZ LLE.
• Country refers to United Arab Emirates.
• Device means any device that can access the Service, such as a VR headset, computer, or smartphone.
• Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
• Service refers to the Application.
• Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes data on behalf of the Company.
• You means the individual using the Service, or the company or legal entity on behalf of which such individual is using the Service.
   

2. Data Collection

2.1 Data from the Meta Platform

When you play LINE BREAKER, the game receives limited information from your Meta account via the Meta Platform, according to your privacy settings:

• Display Name & Profile Picture/Avatar – shown on in-game leaderboards and player lists.
• User ID – stored in a secure, hashed form in memory to keep your leaderboard entry unique and prevent duplicate accounts.
• User Age – used only to confirm age eligibility for the game.

We do not access any other Meta account information.

2.2 Analytics Data

We use Unity Analytics (a service provided by Unity Technologies) to collect aggregated and anonymized gameplay data. Unity Analytics may collect:

• A unique Unity-generated player ID
• Device information (e.g., headset model, operating system version)
• Gameplay events (e.g., level completions, resources collected, session length)
• Country/region (based on IP address)

This data is used solely to improve gameplay balance, detect technical issues, and monitor player engagement. For more information, see Unity’s Privacy Policy.

2.3 Additional Voluntary Data (Future Use)

In the future, we may offer features that allow or require you to provide additional information, such as your email address, for purposes including:

• Tournaments or competitions
• Support and contact forms
• Newsletters or feature updates
• Account creation (via website or in-game)

If and when this occurs, you will be informed at the point of collection, and your data will only be used for the specified purpose. This Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

2.4 Deep Linking Data

If you open LINE BREAKER through a shared or promotional link, we may process limited technical details (such as the link used, your device type, and the in-game location it refers to) to take you directly to the intended content.

This data does not include your Meta account ID or any personal identifiers.

The information is processed in real time to enable the deep linking feature and is not stored beyond the session.

3. Use of Your Data

We use the above data exclusively to:

• Rank players and display names/avatars on the live leaderboard 
• Detect duplicate accounts to maintain fair competition
• Verify age eligibility
• Monitor game performance
• Analyze gameplay trends and improve overall game quality

We do not use this data for:

• Targeted advertising
• Any non-gameplay-related purposes

4. Data Retention

• Meta profile data (Display Name, Avatar, User ID) is kept only in temporary memory on your device during gameplay and is cleared when the game closes. 
• Leaderboard participation – When you submit a score to the in-game leaderboards, your Meta Display Name, Avatar, and score are stored and managed by Meta’s leaderboard service on Meta’s servers. We do not store this data ourselves and have no control over its retention period. For details, see the Meta Privacy Policy.
• Analytics data collected via Unity Analytics uses a Unity-generated anonymous player ID and contains no Meta account information. This data is stored by Unity in accordance with their retention policy.
• Voluntary data (e.g., email) provided in the future will be retained only as long as needed for its intended purpose.

5. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We share data only with trusted service providers necessary to operate and improve the game:

•  Unity Technologies – Provides Unity Analytics to collect aggregated gameplay data (e.g., session length, level completion rates, in-game interactions). This information is anonymized and is not linked to your Meta profile ID, display name, or avatar. It is used solely to measure and improve game performance and balance. Unity Analytics may also process limited technical data from deep linking events (e.g., link ID, device type) to help us measure the effectiveness of shared links. 
• Meta Platforms, Inc. – Provides the Meta Leaderboards service where player scores, display names, avatars, and hashed Meta account IDs are processed to rank players and display results to other players.

We do not sell or rent your personal data to any third parties. All service providers process data under contractual privacy obligations and use the data only for the purposes described above.

6. Data Deletion Requests

You may request the deletion of data we control at any time by contacting us at contact@line-breaker.com. Upon verification, we will delete all data in our possession related to your account within 30 days.

We will also coordinate with Meta and Unity to remove relevant data from their systems where applicable, so you do not need to contact them directly. 

7. Security

We do not store personal data on our own servers. All Meta leaderboard data is stored and secured by Meta, and analytics data is stored and secured by Unity Technologies. Both use encrypted connections (HTTPS) when transmitting data. Data that exists only on your device during gameplay is temporary and cleared when the game closes. While no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, we rely on these service providers’ security protocols to protect your information.

8. Children’s Privacy

LINE BREAKER is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from users under 13. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will delete it immediately.

9. Your Data Rights

Depending on your region, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access – You can request details of any personal data we directly hold about you. This may include voluntary data you provide to us (e.g., email address) and gameplay analytics data collected through Unity Analytics.
• Correction – You can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data we hold about you. Profile information used in leaderboards comes directly from your Meta account and must be updated in your Meta account settings.
• Deletion – You can request that we delete any personal data we directly control, including gameplay analytics data. We will also forward deletion requests for leaderboard data to Meta where applicable.
• Objection – You can object to our processing of your personal data if you believe it is not being used for the stated purposes.
• Portability – You can request a copy of the personal data we directly hold in a portable format.

If we introduce new features in the future that require you to provide personal information (such as your email address), you will have the right to access, update, or request deletion of that data at any time by contacting us.

We will respond to your request and coordinate with Meta or Unity if data is stored on their systems, so you do not need to contact them directly.

10. Compliance with UAE Law

As a company registered in the United Arab Emirates, we comply with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL). This includes:

• Collecting only the minimum necessary data 
• Using data only for stated purposes
• Providing appropriate security safeguards
• Deleting data promptly when no longer needed

For data stored by Meta or Unity, their own privacy policies and compliance measures apply. 

We are also committed to transparency and user rights in line with international data protection best practices.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with the revised “Last updated” date.

For major updates, we will notify users via the application or through our website before changes take effect.
